I was hesitant to buy an instant pot as it would just be another kitchen tool collecting dust. However this so useful and we are able to make foods that would otherwise take hours to make. It is also great for helping with meal prepping and busy schedules as I can cook quality meals quickly. It is also quiet and we barely hear it until the steam starts to release, which still isn't very loud. I did get this on sale but it is worth the investment. Also most recipes for the instant pot will explain how to use it and it comes with a detailed instruction manual, so no worries on not being able to figure it out.
Instant Pot IP-DUO Plus60 9-in-1 Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker, 6 Qt - I've wanted a PC for a long time and have done a lot of research. I was originally leaning towards the PPCXL because that's what my cousin has, but I did some more research and ended with this one, waiting until the Duo Plus came out. So, since I'm the 4th reviewer, here's some of the thought process I went through in deciding to get the DUO Plus and also some thoughts on the IP vs the PPCXL and also other considerations on accessories, size, etc. So far, I've only had it a few days, but overall satisfied and plenty of online support for recipes and helping you decide the post PC for your needs.
I had a pressure cooker and didn't see any value in getting an Instant Pot. But then after so many years of using the pc- it died. :( Took me a long time to save up enough fun savings to get a new one, and this time it is an Instapot. Same amount of real estate in the kitchen... but I use it 2 or 3 times a week. Cook full meals with luscious leftovers all the time. I can do casseroles that are really budget boosters- better than restaurant food with no dressing up, complete control of ingredients, no waiting in line. I get a lot of prime meats and poultry on sale, and toss them in the freezer.. and they get used! Because I don't thaw, so don't have to have my meal planned out the night before. And pasta!!! put it in while the meat is cooking- no extra pan and drainer to wash.. it comes out perfect when your meat and veggies are done. (Last night I cooked a big boneless pork chop, it was browned and then cooked with potatoes, onions and carrots from my garden) It was like a personal Sunday pot roast! Prepped, cooked, and served in less than a half hour). I am even making my own pet food- cheaper than canned, better ingredients and they love their meals. I won't ever be without this! Still have a ton of stuff to try- like making my own yogurt, and a recipe collection that grows all the time.
