Editorial Policy

Every page on Promolyze follows the same rules. This document is the standard we hold ourselves to — and the one you can hold us to.

1. Selection criteria

An item is featured only if it shows sustained demand on Amazon (best-seller or trending placement over time), healthy buyer reviews across a meaningful volume of ratings, and a sensible price against named alternatives. We feature items we'd tell a friend to consider — nothing is listed because a brand asked or paid.

2. How reviews are written

In-depth reviews combine three inputs: the item's verifiable specifications, independent third-party tests and reports (cited on the page when used), and recurring themes in real buyer reviews on the item's Amazon listing. Every in-depth review must state who the item is for, who it isn't for, at least one drawback, and a clear verdict. If we haven't physically tested an item, we don't claim we have.

3. "What buyers say" blocks

These blocks are an editorial synthesis of customer reviews published on the item's Amazon listing: what buyers praise most often, the most common complaint, and who the item worked best for. They are never verbatim quotes, never attributed to invented people, and always include a negative. They are not used to generate star-rating markup.

4. What we never publish

Fabricated testimonials or reviews. Star ratings we didn't collect ourselves. Rating or review structured data without real first-party reviews behind it. Copies of Amazon's product descriptions presented as our opinion. Health or safety claims without a citable source. Prices presented as current when they aren't — every price shows its capture date and defers to the live Amazon price.

5. Affiliate disclosure

Promolyze earns commissions from Amazon as an Amazon Associate. Outbound Amazon links are affiliate links, marked as sponsored for search engines, and disclosed on every page where they appear. Commissions are set by Amazon per category and do not vary with which specific item you choose, which keeps our incentive aligned with recommending the better item.

6. Updates & corrections

Reviewed pages display their last update date. When a claim turns out to be wrong, we correct the page rather than delete it. Found something off? Tell us via our Facebook page and we'll review it with priority.
