Hero Mighty Patch Frost Pop — Limited-Edition Holiday Hydrocolloid Patches, 24 Ct
Frost Pop is Hero's stocking-stuffer version of the Mighty Patch Original: the same hydrocolloid that absorbs whitehead fluid overnight, printed with six festive winter designs you are meant to be seen in. It is a design variant, not a new formula — buy it for the look, judge it as an Original.
- 24 medical-grade hydrocolloid patches — 6 limited-edition holiday designs, 4 of each — in the same material as Mighty Patch Original.
- Wear 6-8 hours; Hero's claim is that the patch absorbs pimple gunk and shrinks the look of whiteheads within that window.
- Drug-free and dermatologist-tested; keeps fingers off the blemish, which is most of why hydrocolloid patches work.

Our verdict
Buy Frost Pop if you want a decorated patch that actually absorbs — it is Mighty Patch Original underneath, which is the benchmark hydrocolloid, and the winter prints are cute enough to wear around the house or give as a gift. Do not buy it as your everyday patch: at roughly 46 cents a sticker it costs about half again as much per patch as the 72-count Original, the designs are opaque so they are not a daytime-out-of-the-house patch, and it is limited edition, so it will not be there when you reorder. For most people the right move is one box for the season and the Original for the rest of the year.
Reasons to buy
- The first wave of Amazon buyers (late September 2026) treats Frost Pop as what it is — the regular Mighty Patch in a costume — and likes it for that: owners report the same overnight effectiveness as the standard patch, adhesion that survives a full night, winter designs they call cute, better value than no-name decorated patches, and the usual benefit of keeping fingers off a blemish.
Reasons to skip
- The one 3-star review so far says the patches do not seem to absorb as much as other patches the reviewer has used and wishes the box came in more than one size.
- Several otherwise happy buyers add that they still reach for the clear or skin-toned Mighty Patch for daytime wear outside the house, because the prints are not subtle.
- And it is a limited seasonal run with only about a dozen ratings, so expect it to sell through and disappear rather than become a repeat purchase.
Mighty Patch Frost Pop is Hero Cosmetics' limited-edition holiday run of its best-selling pimple patch: 24 hydrocolloid stickers printed with six festive winter designs, four of each, sold at $10.99 as a stocking stuffer. Hero's own page says it plainly — "your fave pimple patch with a fun and festive twist" — and the listing confirms the material is the same medical-grade hydrocolloid used in the Mighty Patch Original, worn 6-8 hours to shrink the look of surfaced whiteheads. In other words, nothing about the formula is new; what you are paying for is the print. The product launched in September 2026 and has only a dozen Amazon ratings so far, and no written review exists anywhere we could find — searches like "frost pop before and after" return nothing but the Amazon listing. So this page sets expectations honestly: what Frost Pop shares with the Original, what it costs per patch against Hero's own 72-count and Starface's decorated stars, what early buyers like and dislike, and whether a seasonal design is worth a 50 percent per-patch premium.
What's actually different from Mighty Patch Original
Only the surface. Hero's Frost Pop page lists hydrocolloid as the sole key ingredient and repeats the Original's directions word for word: cleanse and dry, apply to the blemish, remove after 6-8 hours. The Amazon listing says the same — same medical-grade hydrocolloid as Mighty Patch Original, dermatologist-tested, with the claim that it shrinks the look of whiteheads in 6-8 hours. Hero's Original page makes an identical claim, so the mechanism is unchanged: the patch pulls fluid out of a surfaced whitehead, turns white as it fills, and physically stops you from picking.
What changes is the count, the print and the price. The Original ships as 36 or 72 translucent matte 12 mm dots; Frost Pop ships as 24 patches across six holiday designs, four of each, and is explicitly positioned as a limited-edition stocking stuffer. Hero gives no diameter for the printed patches, and nothing on the page suggests they are larger or thicker than the Original — this is a design variant, not a bigger, stickier or medicated patch. If you need something for early-stage, under-the-skin bumps, that is Mighty Patch Micropoint, not this.
Price per patch, and where Frost Pop fits in the lineup
At $10.99 for 24, Frost Pop works out to about 46 cents a patch. The 72-count Mighty Patch Original on Amazon ($21.97) is about 31 cents, and Hero's own 36-count ($12.99) about 36 cents — so you pay roughly a 50 percent premium over the big box for the print, which is in line with what decorated patches usually cost. Starface Hydro-Stars, the other patch people buy to be seen in, lands at about 40 cents for 32 stars in a mirrored compact, though Starface buyers on Ulta and Target repeatedly describe those stars as thin and quick to fall off, which is not a complaint the Mighty Patch Original gets.
That is the real case for Frost Pop over Starface: you get a visible, fun patch that keeps the Original's adhesion and absorption rather than trading them away. The case against it is the same as for any printed patch — the designs are opaque, so it is a bedtime or stay-home patch, not something to wear to the office. If you want a patch that disappears under makeup during the day, Hero's Invisible+ line or the Original itself is the pick. We cover the whole category, including PanOxyl, Peach Slices and Micropoint, in our pimple patch buying guide (linked above).
Frost Pop vs Mighty Patch Original, Starface and Micropoint
| Patch | Count / price | Cost per patch | Look | What it's for |

| Hero Mighty Patch Micropoint | 8 ct / $10.97 | ~$1.37 | Clear dissolving-microdart patch | Early-stage, under-the-skin pimples; not a hydrocolloid dot |
What buyers say

Most praised
The first wave of Amazon buyers (late September 2026) treats Frost Pop as what it is — the regular Mighty Patch in a costume — and likes it for that: owners report the same overnight effectiveness as the standard patch, adhesion that survives a full night, winter designs they call cute, better value than no-name decorated patches, and the usual benefit of keeping fingers off a blemish.
Most common complaint
The one 3-star review so far says the patches do not seem to absorb as much as other patches the reviewer has used and wishes the box came in more than one size. Several otherwise happy buyers add that they still reach for the clear or skin-toned Mighty Patch for daytime wear outside the house, because the prints are not subtle. And it is a limited seasonal run with only about a dozen ratings, so expect it to sell through and disappear rather than become a repeat purchase.
Worked best for
Gift-givers, teens, and anyone who wants a decorated hydrocolloid patch that performs like the Original for bedtime and at-home wear. Everyday users should buy the 72-count Original and treat Frost Pop as a one-season novelty.
Frequently asked questions
Are Mighty Patch Frost Pop patches the same as the regular Mighty Patch?
Yes, apart from the print. Hero lists hydrocolloid as the only key ingredient, the directions and 6-8 hour wear time are identical, and the Amazon listing says Frost Pop uses the same medical-grade hydrocolloid as Mighty Patch Original. Early buyers report the same overnight results. It is a limited-edition design, not a new formula.
How long do you wear Mighty Patch Frost Pop?
Six to eight hours, same as the Original — Hero says to cleanse and dry the skin, apply the patch to the blemish and remove it after 6-8 hours. Overnight is the natural fit, and the patch should look white and swollen where it absorbed fluid when you peel it off.
Can you wear Frost Pop patches during the day?
You can, but the six designs are opaque holiday prints, so they do not blend in the way the translucent Original or the Invisible+ patch does. Several early buyers say they use Frost Pop at night or at home and keep clear or skin-colored patches for going out.
How does Frost Pop's price per patch compare with Mighty Patch Original?
Frost Pop is $10.99 for 24 patches, about 46 cents each. The 72-count Original on Amazon is $21.97, about 31 cents each, and Hero's 36-count is $12.99, about 36 cents. You pay roughly 50 percent more per patch for the festive designs — fine for one box, expensive as an everyday patch.
When does Mighty Patch Frost Pop sell out? Is it limited edition?
Yes. Hero sells it as a limited-edition holiday item and stocking stuffer, and it only appeared on Amazon in September 2026. Hero publishes no end date and no restock promise, so if you want it for gifts, buy it before December rather than counting on it being in stock later — and expect it to be gone after the season.
