The CRAFTSMAN CMMT99447 is a hybrid answer to a common problem: most "mechanics sets" are all sockets and no household tools, while most "home kits" can't turn a bolt properly. This 57-piece case splits the difference — a 1/4-in drive, 72-tooth ratchet whose head is up to 25% thinner than the outgoing model, giving a 5-degree swing arc that's genuinely useful in packed engine bays, plus 6-point sockets and driver bits on one side and a hammer, tape measure, utility knife, pliers and screwdrivers on the other. The hand tools carry CRAFTSMAN's Full Lifetime Warranty. It's a recent listing, and accessible retailer pages show no accumulated owner reviews yet — so the value case rests on the ratchet spec and that warranty rather than a buyer track record.

Frequently asked questions

What drive size are the sockets?

The set is built around a 1/4-in drive, 72-tooth ratchet — fine for small fasteners, trim and light maintenance. Bigger jobs like suspension bolts need 3/8-in or 1/2-in drive tools this set doesn't include.

Is there a warranty?

Yes — the hand tools are covered by CRAFTSMAN's Full Lifetime Warranty.

What household tools are included?

Beyond the ratchet, sockets and bits, the case packs a hammer, tape measure, utility knife, slip-joint pliers, screwdrivers and hex keys in a blow-molded carrying case.
